Psychological Intervention

Treatments for PTSD in personal injury survivors

One serious psychological consequence often associated with serious MVAs is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Our caring, experienced therapists provide therapy and support to help alleviate emotional and psychosocial distress, including depression, anxiety, physical pain, nightmares or flashbacks, difficulty sleeping and PTSD symptoms.

Although preventative efforts ultimately may reduce the emotional toll of MVAs, the majority of patients do not seek help shortly after their MVA. More typically, individuals do not understand the emotional symptoms of PTSD and may not seek help for several years, which at that point, PTSD has become chronic and may be difficult to treat.
